My Story: Why I Created Phases

Since I was young, I was always super skinny. I never worried about my weight. I could eat an entire pizza, and my metabolism would fire it up and turn it into pure energy. Life was easy — at least when it came to my body.

That is... until it wasn’t.

The Wake-Up Call

 

Fast forward to 2018, I didn’t even realize how bad it had gotten until I saw myself in pictures. The girl staring back at me didn’t look like me — not the “me” I remembered.

I found myself nearly 200 pounds on a 5'3" frame. That’s not just uncomfortable — it’s unhealthy. I was desperate. I had three gym memberships, was basically starving myself, cut every carb and calorie I could... and I was still gaining weight.

Crash diet after crash diet left me frustrated, exhausted, and deeply discouraged. I spiraled into self-doubt and depression. I became someone who, if Ozempic had been around back then, probably would’ve jumped on that train too.

 

I Tried Everything...

 

Do you remember when Keto was all the rage?
I tried it.

And here’s a secret no one wants to admit:
It only works short term.
I've watched so many people lose weight on keto... only to gain every single ounce — and then some — right back.

Why? Because you can’t do it forever.
And I feel the same about medications like Ozempic.
They might work in the short term, but what happens when you stop?

 

I’ve Made Mistakes — So You Don’t Have To

 

I’ve made a lot of mistakes on this journey. But every wrong turn taught me something valuable — and that’s what I want to share with you.

Because if my lessons can help you skip the pain, the confusion, the crash-and-burn cycles… then it was all worth it.

Let’s clear something up, too:
Yes — hormones change as you age.
Yes — your metabolism slows down.
And yes — it gets harder to lose weight the older you get.

But guess what?

 

I figured it out.
I’m still going.
And I’m over 50.

 

It’s Not Easy — But It Is Possible

 

You will slip up.
You will have bad days.
You will be tempted to quit.

But the magic happens when you stand up, brush yourself off, and say:

 

“Okay. I’ve got this.”
And then you keep going.
